Final project event

The event marked the presentation of the results and solutions reached in the 31 months (01.06.2021 - 31.12.2023) of collaboration between experts from the partner countries. The main objective was to support the 21 member NGOs of the Romanian Women's Lobby (RoWL) for organizational development and increase of capacity to raise public awareness of the problems faced by women beneficiaries of NGO services. Experts from Romania, Norway, Hungary, Poland and Bulgaria supported the work of the 21 RoWL member NGOs, providing valuable support and information.

The main results of the project are:
- Organisational development for 21 RoWL member NGOs;
- Creating a pro-active and participatory attitude for 170 girls and women participating in the AGORA Feminist Camps and the Feminist Forum and sharing good practices from 4 other countries;
- Over 900 people participated in local and national feminist solidarity events;
- Promoting women's equality in political decision-making in Romania: 250 women candidates or women interested in participating in political life attended the events;
- Skills acquired by 26 Roma women from Crăcăoani commune, Neamț county, participating in 6 personal development events;
- 6 Lobbying and advocacy campaigns on the effects of economic migration on the transnational family, digitalisation and climate change from the perspective of gender equality in Romania, gender budgeting, standard analyses on domestic and gender-based violence, and 50/50 campaigns.

In total, the project managed to involve over 1600 participants in activities at local and national level. These results are a confirmation of the commitment and success of the project, highlighting the significant contribution to the promotion of gender equality and women's rights in Romania.

The event took place within the project 'GLORIA - feminism and the strategic approach of gender equality', carried out with the financial support of Active Citizens Fund România, a program funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the SEE 2014-2021.
